Mauritius, a beautiful country known for its beaches, reefs, lagoon, waterfalls. When we plan a visit to the Country like Mauritius we tend to research a lot about where we would want to stay. When I and Samruddhi visited we also did a lot of research and came across many amazing properties. This blog is about property where we stayed and one of the best stays we ever had. Lux Le Morne!!
Lux le morne is located at Coastel Road, Le Morne in Mauritius. The postcard beach where this resort is situated barely needs an introduction. Blessed with the best Sunset on the Island this resort gives you an amazing feel when you stay here. As west wild coast is famous for sunsets you will witness beautiful pink, orange shades of sky. If you like photography and love golden hours, sit on the beach on the evening and witness beauty of nature like never before.
Rooms and Suites : This hotel offers different segments like superior rooms, sunset view rooms, Ocean View Suites and you can see the detailed information about each category on their site to get an idea. There are different plans available like half board, full board while booking which you can choose as per your preference.
All the rooms have breathtaking views of a beach. You can sit, relax and enjoy in verandah with the sip of coffee, wine, cocktails. There is a nice bar setup on the beach where you can order drinks, take them to the beach and enjoy some good music. ICI Lux's artisanal ice cream ‘parlour’ serves an amazing ice cream and that was not even charged when we visited :)
Activities: The hotel offers number of activities. Kayaking, Glass boat tours, Dolphin tours, Paddle boats. Most of these activities are complimentary and included in the packages. You can enquire about Paid Cruise trips in the Mauritius at the hotel's desk. You can carry snorkeling gears and enjoy snorkeling in the crystal clear water of this beautiful beach.
Restaurants & Bars: There is the main restaurant named 'The Kitchen' where they serve regular lunch, dinner and breakfast with variety of dishes. If you love buffet this is the restaurant for you. Then there is East which is a Thai restaurant.
Vik’s is where you can enjoy a Ti Punch rum drink and urchin fresh from the lagoon. ICI is Lux's artisanal ice cream ‘parlour’ setup on the beach. 'Keen on Green' is for greens and veggies lovers.
Staff, I would like to specially mention about it. I haven't seen as amazing service as this hotel has. If you request anything not only it will get resolved immediately there will be supervisors who will again follow up for the smallest requests. The main restaurant also served vegetarian Indian dishes on the request which was amazing too. All the staff members will greet you whenever you come across them and always have smiles on their faces. We had only one bad experience during our breakfast time but can ignore that incident as overall service by staff was super amazing
